The tri-band GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 MHz SX1 has strips of keys built in to each side of the phone, instead of an ordinary keypad, which acccording to Siemens has been done to give the SX1 a sleeker shape.


  Between these, Siemens has fitted a 16-bit color screen, joined by central navigation keys required by the Series 60 platform just below the screen. Other features of the handset include an embedded video player, camcorder, music player and FM radio, along with typical PIM applications including a calendar, address book, notes and todo. Also present is a voice recorder, along with voice dialing and voice control, and support for J2ME applications and games.
